The best way to keep up to date with Gravesend RFC

Another recent death to report

2 years ago By Mike CUBITT

"It is with regret and deep sadness that I must advise you of the death of my very dearest friend Bernard Davern". Writes Graham Haggar

"Bernard was at one time front row forward and hooker for GRFC back in the late 60's, early 70's. Bernard came to Gravesend Rugby Club at about the same time as Rod Bardell and our President, Graham Haggar when their old club VCD folded and they were later joined by that other Old VCD player Terry Parton who also, sadly died recently.
Bernard who was 72 had been suffering for a long time from what eventually became terminal cancer and finally succumbed to that dreadful disease on Monday 6th June.
Bernard' funeral is on Wednesday the 29th June at Beckenham Crematorium at 11.15."
