Sunday 17th April will see an afternoon of Caribbean fun for everyone at Gravesend Rugby Club. Make sure it's in your diary now.

We will be bringing a little bit of sunshine to the Rugby Club on the afternoon of 17th April (well why not - Gravesend is the hottest place in England !).

An enjoyable afternoon, aimed Club members young and old, is being laid on with Caribbean theme. Music will be provided by our resident DJ - the masterblaster himself Ranking Mick Terry. Mick will also be organising a kids and adults limbo competition - which could be interesting !! There will also be some prizes for those in the best Caribbean/Tropical themed dress.

Food will be provided by the Mini/Youth section and as well as BBQ I know there will be some more traditional Caribbean fare available. Profit from food will go back into the Mini/Youth section so make sure you arrive with an empty stomach - the food I'm sure will be terrific.

Tickets will be just £2.50 per person which will also entitle adults to 1 alcoholic cocktail and kids a non-alcoholic cocktail. Cocktails will continue to be available throughout the afternoon.

Start time will be 12.30 through to 6.30 with food expected to be on sale between 1.00 and 4.30. Tickets will be available from behind the bar from Saturday. Please try to buy as soon as possible so we have an idea on numbers to cater for and will also dictate if we hold in hall or Alan Tointon Bar.

The official launch ride of the Club's newest section - the GRFC Veloship (Cycling section to you and me) - will be in the morning and I know they will be celebrating in the afternoon at this event. After the ride I suspect they will be making some significant inroads into the food - so best get there early.
