It is with sadness that I have to inform our members of the death of Peter Chittenden.

Peter passed away a week ago after a prolonged illness and no doubt is now at rest and peace.
He played his rugby at Gravesend in the early and mid 1950's with the likes of George Baker, John O'Rourke, Merlin Evans, Maurice Lambert, Johnny Moore, Hue Lewis and a very young Jerry Gorman.
Not only a fine rugby player, but Peter was well known in the area as an accomplished cricketer, turning out regularly for his local Gravesend club.
The funeral is to be held at Christ Church, Echo Square, Gravesend on Friday 5 January at 11.00.
