The Moles Veloship came together at the charity "curry me home" evening to celebrate their mammoth sponsored cycle ride to Ypres.

Around forty members and friends mounted their bikes on October 9 to ensure that the ride, which was the brainchild of the dear late Chief Mole, Gary Theobald, was the success he dreamed it would be.
Suffering saddle sores, the odd unintentional dismount, (falling off) and occasional mechanical failure, they and their "support staff" manage the three hundred plus miles and raised a few bob for their chosen charity.
On Friday evening, Steve Weeks presented a cheque to Jane Ayres from the Royal British Legion for the huge sum of £24,200, with the promise of more to follow as sponsorship monies were still coming in and he expected the final total to be around the £25k mark.
Photos taken on the evening can be seen on this website, and the guys and girls that did the hard graft can be seen in their distinctive poppy shirts.
