Bowls
Within GRFC's Rectory Field site, one quiet, secluded corner is occupied by a self contained Lawn Bowls Club, which boasts a full size bowling green with six rinks and a pavillion with separate changing rooms for ladies & gentlemen.
The Bowls Club is organised into separate Ladies and Mens sections which play league bowls in a season from1st May to 30th September in the ‘RACS' & ‘Kentishmens' leagues. Mixed matches are also organised.
In the season, Mens' matches are played on Saturdays & Sundays. Ladies have a ‘roll-up' each Monday 2.00pm at which all are welcome (tuition & advice at this session) and mid-week matches.
New players are always welcome and beginners can be given tuition & details of equipment.
Subscriptions for ladies & men are £70.00 per annum, to include membership & use of the main Club and its facilities.
