Petanque

The French lay claim to the invention of Petanque, or ‘boules' as they often call it.  This is sometimes disputed - some English saying that Francis Drake was playing it on Plymouth Ho as he awaited the arrival of the Spanish Armada!!

Regardless of the heritage of this game it has been played by many people in many countries for many years, why not come to GRFC and see why it's such a popular game.

There are two courts or ‘pistes' in use at Rectory Field, with potential for four more. GRFC Petanque Club plays in Kent League 4 in a season lasting from April to September each year.

Annual membership is currently £26 plus EPA affiliation fee (includes insurance) of £12.
