Hi everybody, that’s it! Job Done! All weighed, all paid etc.etc., What a magnificent end to a magnificent season. I thought I would let the dust settle a bit before writing my last blog of this season but it has taken me a week to getting around to doing it and still I am being regaled with stories of epic and heroic deeds perpetrated by our League and Cup winners. I cannot retell them in this forum because of their “adult “content but suffice it to say that nobody suffered any harm except for the odd hangover or two!!

Well, given the outstanding performance by our 1st XV over the past two weeks I felt that I really had to discipline myself (and very nice it was too!) and get down to writing another blog although I’ve no idea what that means anyway!

It’s some time since I last wrote and quite a bit has happened. If you don’t know by now, we are still holding our place at the top of the league by three points but with Dover still biting at our ankles and with one game in hand. In the last three matches we have re-gained our pre-Christmas form, having got rid of that season’s excesses and following a slight hiccup against Sidcup we gave a good account of ourselves against Chichester away and then on the Sunday before last in the Kent Cup, we put Maidstone to bed with a 41-5 victory at Mote Park where nobody was in doubt as to who was in charge. We were unfortunate to lose a couple of players injured in that match, more of which I will refer to later on.
