Seven Gravesend players in the squad as England go to world number one

The organisers of the France v England wheelchair rugby 7's match in Paris billed this game as Le Crunch! World number one and six nations champions France versus England, undefeated for 12 months and steadily rising up the world rankings after victories against Italy, Wales and Ireland.
England included 7 GRFC players in the squad with Dan Grant making his debut and Michael Grant / Tom McCarthy gaining valuable experience starting on the bench accompanying Warren Mckee, Lee Barnes, Jason Owen and Ben Ide fresh from their 41-21 win in Italy with the Parma ham barely out of their system!
The French crowd outnumbered the English support by a ratio of 50 to 1 and their singing of Le Marseillaise echoed this home advantage as the arena rebounded to the loud home support.
However, the game sent shock waves through the wheelchair rugby world as England dominated from start to finish, over taking France as world number one and playing some fast flowing attacking rugby that the French had no answer for. The final result of 3-117 evidently shows England's domination but the French crowd were complimentary in their defeat and France vow to rebuild for 2016.

Tries and conversions for just about all squad members.

Massive congratulations to the whole team who travelled from all over England, north, west and east but particular pride for GRFC as a massive seven players from the club played in this unique match.
