Trumpets hit a high note !!! Triumphant Trumpets !!! The final battle, the war is won !!! Etc etc etc Running out of superlatives.

On a fantastic day for rugby with a good crowd watching & well lubricated from the sponsors lunch, The 3s had a job to do, the pressure in the changing room was high & the atmosphere tense, as first stirring speeches from vice captain T Papworth & then Captain Stu Proctor fired the passion in this family of players.
The game started with the 3s, firing on all cylinders, they battered New Ash Green 2s for the whole 80 mins.
Scoring 8 tries from,
T Weeks
A Raynor
R Rolls
G Gillham
J Raynor
& 6 conversions out of 8 from Aaron Raynor.
This is a band of brothers, with 6 brothers playing in the match,
A & J Raynor, R & G Rolls, G & H Gillham.
My apologies that I can't remember any more details about the game, but the celebrations were excessive.
I have a number of thanks,
First I would like to wish Tom Weeks good luck on his new adventure in Belize, watching Tom play again has been an immense pleasure & an education to how much an open side can get away with.
On behalf of GRFC, the Captain & the players, I would like to thank the sponsors for their support in what has been an exceptional season.
I personally would like to thank all of the players, I have played with or coached many of you, but apart from actually playing I have got more enjoyment out of watching the trumpets this season than I have for a very long while.
I thank you for that.
Let's Finnish the season as you have played it to date, all for one, one for all, you have only conceding 47 points in 16 matches, averaging only 2.9 points per game ( any sides better than that in any leagues this season ?).
Rest this weekend boys then up & at em next weekend home against Sevenoaks.
Come on you Trumpetssssssssss.
