After 10 years, this Sunday will see the return of ladies rugby at Gravesend RFC.

The Gremlins have been in training and are ready to show everyone, especially Brockleians, what they are made of.
For the last few months, Sunday afternoons and Wednesday nights have seen a dedicated group of women grace the rugby field to let their inner gremlin out and with the help of head coach Miles Tempan and Brian Willams. A group who had mostly never played before, have become rugby players and have made progress quickly to pick up positions and moves, as well as some of the nuances of this incredible sport.
In an homage to the late Gary Theobald, who was a huge supporter of girl’s rugby and of the original Gremlins set up, the ladies will be wearing the original Gremlins shirts for the fixture which feature his name as title sponsor.
At last nights training session the last before the game, some of the quirkier traditions were taken care of courtesy of returning members Becky “Tiger” Parry and Stacey “Sevens” Care to welcome in the new faces to the Gremlin family officially. The task is now set to show how well a team, who hadn’t even met each other at Christmas, can do and promote ladies rugby to the area once again.
As can be expected with a new team, the final line up is still to be adjusted but one thing is for sure, come Sunday two teams will run out on to the pitch and give it their all.

Kick off - 2pm @ Gravesend RFC
