Six games all ending 1 try to 0 gives us a 24-0 win but every game was very close and a simple try in each match was the only difference between the two sides.
With 20 squad members including 5 new players the energy levels were high with Ben Hope yet again proving how fast he is in the chair with another breakaway try early on when no one was going to catch him. Henry Bowler who has a natural ability to play the game but continues to develop each week got a try himself after some good work from team mates.
Sue Fletcher, Matthew Atkinson, Tom McCarthy and Ruth C consistently show the benefits of taking the ball on the move, making good ground and driving in to the opposite half. In fact these four and Libby P never dropped the ball today or missed a pass. However, the passing to hands was identified at the end of the game as the next target to work on for most players today as there were many inaccurate passes.
William A has significantly improved in just a few weeks and was tackling incredibly well today stopping potential try after try. New signing Ken added a debut try as did Kent Sports news journalist John Seagar who came to find out more about Gravesend Dynamite and left with a fine indivual try on his debut here.
Overall club captain Liam Hammock found good space late on and moved the ball on quickly to trick the opposition allowing Max Owen to score a quick try: Max keeping ahead of thr chasing pack to touch down. Max added another sneaking in after a defensive mix up.
Oliver, Patrick, Ryan and Wisdom all again showed signs of good progress; and new signings Joe and Milly adapted to the game very quickly: Joe with his rugby background clearly has good hand eye coordination whilst daughter Milly moved her chair around the pitch with increasing speed.
6 games, 6 try scores, Gravesend Dynamite - league for all! Great matches and player of the match......great attitude, superb support play, listens well and played superb today: George Bowler.
Well done everyone.
p.s STOP PRESS: we had our first major equipment fault tonight with one tyre bursting after a series of tough tackles!
