More HOPE for the Dynamite

A high scoring game for a 6 v 6 mtach saw Cormac score his first try - well deserved for recent progress. New player Lewis Atkinson got himself a try for the Dynamite and must have thought he'd set the pitch on fire as he went straight out the fire exit at consideraable speed!!

Fellow new player Oliver McCarthy got a conversion, one of many converted try's - the other conversions came from Ben Ide and Tom McCarthy. In fact it was Tom, who'd already got himself a try who tackled his uncle Joe literally cm from the line. Joe will get his first try very soon - he's showeing real improvement each week.

Liam Hammock took the ball very well today and then the tackle freeing up space for speed merchants like Ben H, George B (2 try's) and Ben Ide (3 try's) to manipulate the space wide. Milly again tackled well and now needs to work on her speed in the chair when taking the ball. Sue Fletcher really worked hard keeping the opposition from moving forward over any gain line allowing her team to then make the most of the invaded space.
And finally GRFC ex union player and current mini coach Neville Hope made his debut in the chair and showed real potential bringing players in to the game and making noticeable progress.
Player of the match given to Cormac but all players did well and it was good to see 3 new players all take to the game very well. In fact, very surprising that given the rate of improvement of our regular players over the last 2 months, the 3 new ones didn't look dramatically out of place. Great squad developing.
