Tom converts his chance

2014 started well for Gravesend Dynamite. As well as featuring on the national rugby roundup website as a front page article, the GRFC wheelchair rugby league team (4.30pm session) produced an exciting game that ended all square at 17-17. Will Ansell scored a superb try coming in on the right with perfect timing to take the ball at speed and touch down in the corner. Charles Murray who made some excellent well times passes allowing team mates to make ground converting the try.

Max Owen proved that it's not just try scores that make a difference as he made tackle after tackle without the ball and made some excellent advanced territory with some quick ball that caught the oposition napping. One of these allowed Tom McCarthy to score a try. This and a further try late on were both converted by Tom who looks set to become an ideal conversion taker.

Ian and Elliot Long both made some excellent tackles and one of these late on ensured that the game remained tight right up to the final whistle.
