TEAMwork and organised defence is how to win

Gravesend Dynamite proved that old saying about teamwork: "Together Everyone Achieves More T E A M" as a very well organised defence superbly led and marshalled by Ben Ide but with leaders throughout the pitch, particularly Sue, Max, Joe and Tom enabled the side to win comfortably 26-10. There was just no way getting through their brick wall of a defensive line as the 5 were evenly split across the pitch and were all not getting sucked in to tackles enabling space for the opposition. There was just no space for the opposing team to invade into and when the ball was won back, the side, like some Dads Army quote, "didn't panic" and just used up their 6 tackles with intelligence getting closer and closer to the try line. Milly again played very well down the left giving options to her team mates to switch it wide.

Tries for Ben Ide, Sue, George, Joe and 2 for Tom McCarthy plus conversions from Tom, George and Sue were the highlights in the match.
Club captain Liam Hammock, unable to play through injury but here to support his team mates was no doubt impressed with the tries and the tactical play from the winning team.
Patrick played with bravery, Ben Hope persisted though he was carrying an injury himself whilst Henry defended well when onside. Special mention to Seb who not only assisted with the refereeing but encouraged teammates whilst playing though player of the game was Joe - not only did he score his first ever try but he was part of the brick wall defence that was impossible to find a way through!
