Dynamite League Finals literally set college on Fire

Mid way through the finals matches tonight, the Dynamite players and everyone else in the college were evacuated after a fire alarm went off but we were soon allowed back in to complete the final 2 matches of our inter club league.

The Ocelots needed to win big to take the title and got off to a great start with 2 unconverted tries from George B but Tom Mc hit back for the Lions in the late stages of the match with a converted try to make the final score 8-6 to the Ocelots to secure them at least 2nd place in the league.
The Tigers just needed any kind of win against the Leopards as their points difference was superior to the Ocelots and a comfortable 14-0 win with tries from Sue, Ruth and Ben I (with Ben Ide converting one of these) meant that captain Ben Ide was presented with the Dynamite trophy by international athlete John Smith who hopes to be competing for team GB in Rio 2016 in throwing events.

The Tigers team of Ben I, Ruth, Sue, Max and William deserved their championship win but all Dynamite players seemed to enjoy the club league and we'll be doing another later in the season.

In the other matches this evening pre and post league, Charles, Nirees, Tom, Max and Joe all managed a try a piece with George B notching in 4 tries.

All try scorers impressed but other noteable performances came from Ben I, Sue F, Matthew A, Henry and Cormac. We were also very impressed with the instant ability to play the game from John Smith and his training assiatant Jake who after answering some questions from the interested players about training at altitude, etc, both took up the challenge of wheelchair rugby and if they are ever about again, we would gladly sign them both up to play for the Dynamite.

We wish John all the best in his quest to make Team GB and we'll be keeping an eye on his progress.
