Gravesend Dynamite had their own mini World Cup this week as a fitting finale to an excellent first season. All the players were slotted at random in to 3 teams across 3 sessions so there were 9 teams in total (see photos in gallery).
The eventual winners were Brazil (session 1), Uraguay (session 2) and Germany (session 3). England did not take part - bit like the real world cup actually!
The Brazil team of Ruth, Ben S, Tom P, Warren and Max O kicked off the competition and stayed calm under pressure from the excited spectators to lift the trophy.
The Uraguay team of George, Henry, Ben H and Patrick not only showed class in their session 2 win but refrained from any biting incidents though suspiciously one of the tyres suddenly burst (no teeth marks were found in the inner tube!)
Finally, session 3 winners Ben Ide, Dan and Max representing Germany got through their first game without any need for penalties and then grinded out the pressure on minnows Kirabati (well, I didn't have a French flag!) to finish off the session with a big win.
Another 4 years and we're off to Qatar!!!
