A dozen tries from Gravesend gave the Gsss a comfortable victory against Hereford Harriers in Rugby Warwickshire. Gravesend dominated from the start with Warren McKee combined with Dan Grant who twisted to 'side step' past two opponents and go for an early try. Dan Grant was excellent throughout, scoring 6.5 tries (.5 as he and his brother Michael both touched down at the same time so we gave them half a try each) and often came from depth at real pace to punch through holes in the Hereford defence.
Hereford have improved and strengthened since last season but Gravesend's development has clearly extended beyond that as the Dynamite were cutting in attack and solid in defence going the whole game without conceding any points.
The margin may have been bigger if there had been posts up as Gravesend would have got some of the conversions and several penalties awarded within kicking (punching) distance.
Captain McKee orchestrated sustained pressure on the Harriers territory and got three tries himself. Linden got a try and Michael Grant 1.5 tries. A vy pleasing all round team performance.
