Gravesend Dynamite may have won 16-6 in an exciting match but Dartford Valley vipers and the huge travelling support they brought with them were just so pleased to be now playing regular wheelchair rugby league and absolutely thrilled to get some points on the board.
Speedy Ben Newcombe was the man to get the Vipers first ever try late on (Newcombe also converted) in a game that Dynamite dominated. However the Vipers showed real potential and certainly have both a strong first team squad and an enthusiastic group of additional players. Their captain and star player Dan Edwards is certainly excited by the potential within the Vipers and grateful for all the support Dynamite are providing with training, "We've come so far in such a short space of time. Everyone's loving it and we look forward to more training and games with Gravesend from January".
Nevil Hope opened the scoring for Dynamite. Two further tries by Jack Linden, both converted gave the home side a commanding 16-6 win but everyone was the real winner here. Two teams enjoying the sport and continuing to form strong club links. Well done all.
