Gsss cut down Argonauts in second half blitz

Gravesend Dynamite performed superbly to keep the Argonauts out throughout the second half. With one minute to go before the break, the Argonauts were just 17-16 behind. But Euan Huckle raced ahead to latch on to a perfect grubbed kick to give Gravesend a narrow 21-16 HT lead.

The Argonauts had initially gone ahead in the match and their whole performance shows how much they have improved over the past three months.
But Gravesend were excellent in defence and played some fast flowing direct rugby to take advantage of a slower defensive line. Furthermore, a structured defence killed off any attacks from the opposition in the second half to keep the opposition score to 16. Huckle deservedly got player of the match but Dan Grant found gaps to exploit and Jack Linden was superb with some pace in attack. Richard Carver particularly made two great tackles out wide to keep their fast winger Dan Edwards out,
