To be completely honest, we probably expected to finish second in our group before the prelims and although that's exactly where we finished, in many ways, the boys exceeded expectations with two convincing wins and a really solid and spirited performance against Old E's.

Game 3 vs Old Elthamians. Gs lost 28-0
.....but it wasn't as bad as it might look. Old E's are a very good side, boasting no less than 11 county players. Their strength in depth was obvious from the start. We conceded converted tries in the 3rd, 8th and 11th minute, but our heads did not drop. We enjoyed substantial periods of possession and arguably, were the better side in the second half. We were unlucky not to score in the dying minutes, with Old E's conceding 6 penalties in quick succession 5m from their line. The level of intensity that we demonstrated in the s second half is what we need to aspire to delivering for 60 minutes in every game....lads, you done good
