A Hard Day at the Office

On a glorious day for rugby the U9s ventured out of town to Wescombe Park to participate in their annual Festival.
The weather was fine but a bit chilly on occasions, however, with the Gazebo swiftly erected and the 2 teams sorted out by Coach James we were all ready for a good day of rugby.
We were able to travel with 20 players, giving us 2 Teams GRFC 1 and GRFC 2 Black. Each playing 4 x 15min games.
We pride ourselves on playing a good standard of rugby in the Panthers but today we played teams that we haven't played before and as the title suggests it was a 'Hard Day at the Office'. That being said after we settled, the rugby began to flow and as always there were some excellent skills shown on both sides of the ball. The commitment of every player was unquestionable.
There were some big bumps and bruises today, the medical bag will need refilling for next week. But everyone was able to walk away.
We gathered in front of the Gazebo, for the medal presentation and as always there were soon smiles on all faces.
A group photograph was taken and the Gazebo struck with lighting efficiency and loaded onto Mr & Mrs Bs Trolley along with Harvey.
No scores were kept and as alway grassroots rugby was the winner.

Today gave us an idea of where we are aiming next season, so that when we encounter those teams again we are ready to meet them head on, with not a backwards step taken.
