With around eighty alicados attending the annual cheese and wine evening, it was appropriate for us to pull the winning tickets for the clubs Christmas draw, the first for more than twenty years.
With over £2000 worth of prizes, there was an eager anticipation as Club Chairman, Mark Bruce pulled his hand out of the barrel to announce the winner of the first prize of £1000 was going to Glenys Johnston.
Club President drew the second ticket to reveal that the £500 second prize was won by Mel Andrews, who was in the room, and then Immediate Past President, Don Boyd pulled the third cash prize ticket which had been purchased by Samantha Kavanagh who won £200.
Another ten tickets were drawn for the winning tickets for prizes to the value of £30 each.
