The Poacher plays for England

1 year ago By Jeff Moorey

Tony Nolan, a favourite winger of GRFC supporters for many years earns a call up to represent England Police Rugby.

Having played at the Rectory field for years, it was only work that has stopped Tony continue poaching along the wing for GRFC. Although rugby did not disappear from his blood, having seen him at the club supporting the current team and also playing for The Kent Police rugby section. This continued effort and enthusiasm for rugby has been rewarded by selection to the England Police rugby team. Wednesday 17th January saw Tony play at Hinckley RFC against a very strong British Fire Brigade RFC. Although 19-3 down at half time, the Police team rallied round a won 36-28. Well done Tony.
