After conceding a try in the second minute, the Gannets would have been concerned that a recent drop in performance level would continue for another week. Fortunately, this was not to be the case as they battled away for the remaining 78 minutes in an attempt to get some points on the board. Unfortunately, they were not to be successful in this endeavour, in a large part due to the organisation and strength shown in defence by Tonbridge Judd but also as a result of a lack of composure and sensible decision making at key times.
There does not need to be much more said about this game, except that the level of performance by each player suggests that the return to winning ways is not far away and that the team should look forward to another top of the table clash with Maidstone this coming weekend.
Another positive to come out of this match was the apparent absence of any long term injury in a squad that appears to be having a poor run of luck in that respect.
