Medway match forfeited

Along with the 3's,the Gannets arrived at Priestfields with their full complement of 15,however with the 3's only have seven players available,their fixture took precedent leaving us with only 8.

Our options were to to go home and be at the mercy of 'er indoors,or to take Medways kind offer of a loan of their players and play a 13 a side friendly.Knowing what fate awaited us at home,we chose the latter.

To cut to the chase,Medway ran out 52-12 winners over the combined Gravesend/Medway side but it was an enjoyable game played in the right spirit and by far preferable to an afternoon in Morrisons.

Big thanks to the Medway lads for donning the black and white and becoming G's for 80 mins.Great effort from them.

Due to us arriving with 15 before being pillaged by the 3's,the league has allowed the result of the game to stand and awarded us an appearance point.
