Despite only having 16 players themselves the Gs came up against a Folkestone side who were also depleted and forced to start the game with only 14 players.
Gs were out of the gate straight away and with great hands by the centres and strong runs from the likes of Banfield and Wade-Fautley the points were soon to come. The teamwork that saw Gs beat Aylesford the week before was again evident as Gs stretched to a 29-0 lead inside the first 20 mins.
Worse was to come for Folkestone when they were reduced to 13 men through injury on one of teh warmest September days in memory. Whether it was overconfidence or just the heat but Gs started to get ragged and try too much on an individual basis. Folkestone continued to tackle resolutely and midway through the second half got the score they deserved.
Special mention must be made of the runs by Samraj and Harry K which ably supported lead to two fine tries. Also Jamie C who moved from his customery Hooker role to Wing had a great game with some notable runs.
All round it was a fine performance by the Gs at the seaside
