Gravesend came back after the xmas break with hopes of continuing progress made before xmas and started confidently enough however some great defensive line speed from the visitors kept pushing Gravesend back which forced a couple of errors in their own 22 to score two early tries, a further breakaway following another turnover led to becs left wing scoring a great solo effort. Although Graveend created a few opportunities a few poor decisions led to no points being scored. The secand half followed a similar pattern with G's getting turned over in the rucks and tackle area and an increasingly confident Becs team moved the ball to the wider areas to score several more tries. G's managed some good moments including a good build up from inside their own half with some good interplay and offloading from Freddie Barrett and Cameron Cloggie feeding Billy Webster who was just help up over the line. From the 5 M scrum Owen Hinks completed a smart pickup to go over for Gravesends only try which was well converted from wide out by Ben Hope. Despite a heavy defeat it was good to see the tackles going in and with more shape and communication between players there is no doubt that the Boys have a platform now to build on.
