You win some, you lose some.....and you draw some!

Three teams of GRFC under 10's took on Ashford and Ash rugby clubs. We ended up winning several matches, drawing some and losing some so ended up with an overall draw.

Effort from all players was immense whilst actual team play improved during the session with GRFC players supporting each other as each game occurred.

With 3 teams, I'll call them GRFC whites, GRFC blacks and GRFC stripes. The whites team dominated the scrum with Josh Saunders, Wisdom and Will Ansel all contributing hugely and winning so much ball releasing Josh Barnes to run in try after try. Coach Tony Ansell was pleased with the whole team noting the direct forward running from Lewis as particularly impressive whilst Wisdom continues to grow showing strength and speed.

The blacks team under the guidance of Lee Barnes kept their heads up after an early defeat but came back in the following games and stunned Ash with a great performance. Lee picking out Fin Mason Myers and Fin Cruse Smith for special mention.

The stripes team started with some basic handling errors with the wet ball but went on to produce some excellent rugby. Oscar Jones almost touching down after a full pitch run, Harvey scoring after a dazzling sidestepping indiviual set of zig zags whilst Max O and Aaron both joined the '100 club' with over 200 combined tackles between them. Special mention to Thomas Hobbs who always listens well and continues show a good all round game incorporating good tackling, passing and feeding the ball in to the scrum well.

Head coach Gary Myers brought all 3 teams together at the end to share his pride in everyone's effort. Sidcup next week.
