Only a hand full of our players were born when England lifted the Webb Ellis World Cup trophy but 10 years on from when captain Martin Johnson called for a wall of white and "if you see a yellow shirt, smack it!" Gravesend RFC produced a wall of black and white stripes and tackled any ball carrying Sidcup player with energy and power.
The pre-game rugby netball session proved that William, Andreas, Matthew, Molly and Ben are really improving on 'pass and move'. In the full rugby matches, the Eagles battled well with Fin Myers, Fin Cruise Smith and William A impressing their fellow players.
The falcons went unbeaten, winning 7 try to 3 try and then drawing 4 try all. Josh Saunders was like a tank battering his way though the Sidcup defence for try after try. Lewis and Max O were just the same smashing their way through tackles whilst going over themselves for some well worked scores.
I won't mention every other player by name as there were so many positive performances but both squads played assertively playing as a team in both attack and defence.
