The wrong kind of ice!

On arrival at the club this brisk Sunday morning we found half the ground still white and slightly frozen. After a decision by GRFC and Medway to try to honour the fixtures and after a little reorganisation we started as we meant to carry on. After a thorough warm up, a couple of 'tag' mini games and strategically making up two pitches games commenced with a Gravesend, Gravesend Yellow and a GRFC/MRFC barbarians side. Some really strong displays from all the GRFC Spartan boys, especially given the turkey and chocolate hangover some may still be experiencing as the firts proper fixture post christmas.
From our understanding pretty much a clean sweep for the Spartans with all of the boys contributing well with some great defensive lines and superb team play on the attack. Putting into practise what has been hammered in over the last few training sessions.Again GRFC Spartans showing real strength, teamwork and ability to come out on top against one of our strongest oppo's in kent!
